#31DBBS is coming to a close

I didn't get to blog as often during this challenge as I hoped. I enjoyed being the email mentor to my little group of participants. I pray they all saw great change for the positive in their relationships to their spouses.

You can still participate by buying A copy of the book 31 Days to Build a Better Spouse.

#31DBBS Day 9 Emotions

What a perfect day to concentrate my prayers on my husbands emotions when it is I who needs prayer in this area the most. Today has been a frustrating day but we are all alive so that's good.

My mil is still having health problems so my husband will be out there a bit longer than we first thought.

Homeschool started today so I'm sure that had something to do with my frustration-emotional overload.

last night the boys actually shared a bonding moment. They were watching old episodes of Suite Life and reminiscing about the old days. :) Funny how at their age they still think of the past as 'old' even though it was only 2 or 3 years ago.

I wanted to remember this because as they age moments like this are rare - there is so much noise where we live [electronic noise] that it's hard to think let alone hold a conversation with another.

#31DBBS Day 3 Strength

Daily Bible Verse: I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. {Philippians 4.13}

Daily Prayer Prompt: I pray that my spouse would rise up on wings, like the eagles, as he waits upon You. I pray that You would give him supernatural strength to defend against the attacks of the devil and to live in this fallen and sinful world. Strengthen his spirit with Your Word, through Your people.

Missed posting for Day 2: Salvation - I did pray though. Emailed the group - have only heard from 2 of you so please check your spam folders to be sure the messages aren't hiding in there somewhere.

Took husband down to his mom's place because she just had surgery and needs someone to care for her post-op. Not sure how long he'll be gone but praying he will stay strong while away.

I miss him already. It is so weird waking up and him not being here. Can't imagine what it's like for people who are single either from divorce, being left, or from death - I do remember that lonely feeling somewhat but after 18 years of marriage I think I take his presence for granted.

31 Days to Build a Better Spouse: January 1

Verse of the Day:

But now, O Lord, You are our Father, we are the clay, and You our potter; and all of us are the work of Your hand. {Isaiah 64.8, NASB}

Father God, I bow before Your throne. You are sovereign over all things, including my spouse. I pray that You would change my heart and my will to match Your own. Like the song says, I want to be like You.
