A little about me and why I decided to take this challenge:

I'm Sara, married to my awesome and amazing husband T. for 18 years now. I'll be the first to tell you that we've had our fair share of rough patches and it is only by the grace of God that we are together. 

I can still remember on our wedding day a conversation we had about our marriage being between us and God. I think that conscious decision on that day is what has brought us this far. 

T. and I have 2 boys and although he would never say so, I'm not that great of a mom. My nurturing instinct went awry somewhere along the way. I love my boys and all but the nurturer is definitely their Dad. I'm more of the 'let's get this task and this job done' kind of person. 

God is so good though because T. and I are perfectly matched. We balance each other out so beautifully. I am strongest in points where he is weak and he is strongest in my weakest points. Isn't that just like God? 

I am blessed to travel along with you during this challenge as we lift our Spouse's up in prayer this month.

31 Days to Pray for my Husband Challenge

This January I will be participating in a blog challenge to pray for my husband for 31 days.

This challenge is using the book 31 Days to Build a Better Spouse by Alishley Pichea. Each day has a little devotional and scripture memory as well as a guided prayer. It won't take me more than 5 minutes a day to participate.

Christmas Day 2012

Christmas Day. Presents were opened late last night at Midnight in great expectation. J. received a martial arts training set along with a couple of pair of sweats. N. received a denim jacket and some much anticipated earphones for his ipod. T. got a recorder which I hope he'll use to record more of his music in 2012.

So many people can't make up their mind on what to celebrate or how to celebrate or even if they should celebrate. If they would just be like children and enjoy the moment they are in I doubt if any of the 'arguments' would really matter.

Give a child a reason to celebrate and they are for it - 100% Should we learn from this?

I'm am grateful for my life - I take it for granted as well as the gift of the people in my life but I truly am thankful that I am here to experience all the love I have been given through my little family.
