Day 4: Frugal Fall Decorating Ideas 

Pumpkins and Gourds abound this time of year. The Pumpkin Farm is always on our things to do list in Autumn. We like to go on a hayride out to the pumpkin patch, choose our pumpkin and take it home. Normally we don't decorate our pumpkins so it stays all natural until Thanksgiving Day.

This will usually cost about $5.00 but some years we decide to push it up to $10 if we feel we need just a few more pumpkins or gourds to brighten up our space.

You can decorate your home with pumpkins as is or you can spray paint your pumpkin a different color and glitter or stickers. Some  wrap the pumpkin in fabric and tie with a bow on top and others use stencils to decorate the pumpkin.

You can also invest a set of fake pumpkins and gourds from a dollar store or even pick up a few at a second hand thrift shop. This way you will have them for multiple years.
