Cleaning the Kitchen #4 - The Dishwasher

The best way to clean a dishwasher is to use it. Be sure to pre-rinse dishes and to scrape all food into your garbage or compost bin. Check the spinning arms for build up and remove. Remove the drawers; wipe the inside clean with a mild liquid detergent and warm water. 

Clean the inside door making sure to get around the top and side corners. Replace the drawers, close the dishwasher and run the dishwasher in the rinse cycle. Will the rinse cycle is going wipe the outside of the dishwasher clean using liquid dish soap to remove grease.

Doing this process is a good habit to get into at least once per month. At the same time you can replace the rinse aid for your dishwasher.
